Vazelon Monastery is a Greek monastery located in Maçka district of Trabzon. The monastery, built in 270, is located 40 kilometers south of Trabzon city centre. Emperor Justinian I wanted the monastery to be repaired in 565, and since then the monastery has been renovated many times.
